Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mothers Day to all the Moms out there!

In this issue,we honor the Goddess within us. Yes gents, we too have a feminine side. And as many of you know, the World is evolving towards the Maternal Energies.

Are you aware how important feminine energy is in shamanic practice?

Think about it—The Earth Mother...Mother Nature...Mother Sea...Grandmother Moon...our heightened awareness and the activation of the Intuitive side—all Yin energies.

Many Blessings to the Sacred Female!

Woman Shaman: the Ancients DVD

This came across my desk the other day and I was mesmerized the point of goosebumps. I'll certainly pick this up when I next return to the States!

This video by Max Dashú reveals the rich cultural record of medicine women, seers, oracles, healers, trance-dancers, shapeshifters, and dreamers—on a global scale. They told us that female spiritual leaders didn't exist, or were rare exceptions, or insignificant; that Indigenous medicine ways were superstitious and backward. All lies. To experience the beauty, power and wisdom of these spiritual legacies is medicine for the spirit, especially for the women who have been pushed down, marginalized, denied, and silenced in the name of religion. These most ancient spiritual ways have immense value—however far back, or deep, we have to go to recover this human birthright.

Shamanic Crystal of the Month: Rose Quartz
Rose Quartz is a mothering crystal, inspiring nurturing of the self if one has lost their own mother. It promotes bonding is a calming and reassuring crystal, excellent for use in trauma or crisis, including the emotional upheavals of mid-life. It strengthens empathy, sensitivity, and aids in the acceptance of necessary change. It is also an excellent stone for comforting grief.

I use it extensively when performing Ho'oponopono. Holding it in my hands during the work brings tremendous comfort and opens the heart for insights on the underpinnings of the issue at hand.

"The purpose of life is to be restored back to Love, moment to moment. To fulfill this purpose, the individual must acknowledge that he is 100 percent responsible for creating his life the way it is. He must come to see that it is his thoughts that create his life the way it is moment to moment. The problems are not people, places, and situations but rather the thoughts of them. He must come to appreciate that there is no such thing as “out there.”

Journey of the Mothers

These Journeys intend to bring you closer to three very important women found along the Shamanic Path. Take your time and do individual journeys on these special women.

These wonderful women are:
  • The Earth Mother
  • Grandmother Moon
  • Grandmother Spider
Each of these women will have special messages for you and each will want you to help and honor them in unique ways.

Key things to ask include: Tell me about yourself? Tell me what I need to know? How can I work with you? What can I do for you? How can I honor you? May I have a blessing?

This is only a start. These relationships grow and become very special indeed over the course of time. Journey, Journey, Journey!

Food for Thought: How do you honor the Feminine

We are a balance of Yin and Yang. We all contain divinity. We hold inside of us, both feminine and masculine energies.

As I thought of how we honor Feminine Divinity, it presented some Food for Thought...

  • Where is your fulcrum (balance or center point) between Yin (Feminine) and Yang (Masculine) energy?
  • How do you relate to your Feminine Energy/Divinity?
  • What do you most admire about the Feminine?
  • Who is your Inner Goddess? Where does she reside? How sacred is your relationship with her? Do you honor her? Do you listen to her? If so, what has she said to your recently?
  • Who is the most important woman in your life? Why? When was the last time you let her know?
  • What is your projection of the Divine Feminine? What does she look like? How does she act? What is her personality like? How similar is she to you?
