As Shamanic Practitioners, how many times have you been asked, "What is a Shaman?" Here's a way of answering that sums it up perfectly:

"A shaman, in my perspective, is one that through the inner silence, has connected with his being and is able to travel within his self and receive knowledge and information from around the cosmos to help humanity."

— Don Pachito, Mayan Shaman

This ought to baffle them for a while :)

Oh!

In case you missed it, an article came out on Neelam and I in Life Positive magazine in India at the top of this month. Give it a read to learn a bit more about us and Shamanism.

Shamanic Stone of the Month
Leopardskin Jasper is usually found in dominant shades of green or orange, with dark leopard-like banding and glassy inclusions. It reflects the duality between dark and light, teaching one to recognize dark as a complement to light rather than the opposite. This is a shamanic shape-shifter’s stone, helpful in journeying and getting in touch with one’s power animal. Leopardskin also strengthens the sense of self, attracting the right energies into one’s life to heal and move beyond past traumas, while being guided to new opportunities.

The stone pictured is a Pi-Stone and is used exclusively for administering the Munay-ki rites. For more on this, let us know as we not only administer, we also teach the rites.
JOI (Journey on It)

In our workshops, we share that as Shamanic Practitioners, we can Journey on pretty much, any subject. Here is a Journey suggestion:

What can I bring to the World?

The key word here is can. This journey allows us to discover that part of us which is not or has not been yet realized.

Listen to your Soul...it will Guide you to the right place. Allow your Soul to present its Gift to the World.

A-ho!

From the Storyteller

We spoke about seeking validation in our previous newsletter.

Have you ever thought, why do we seek validation? Why is it that we are not able to trust what we see in our journeys, that little inner voice which tells us many things, yet, why are we not able to trust that?

It is our own inner critic that chatters so loud that all the other voices shut down.

The Inner Critic is the part of you that judges you, demeans you, and tells you who you should be. It undermines your self-confidence and makes you feel bad about yourself.

Therefore, here is some food for thought....

  • What does your inner critic tell you?
  • When and how does it talk to you?
  • How does it make you feel?
  • Are you aware how you feel when your inner critic rises?
  • What do ‘you’ do when your inner critic rises?
  • How do you deal with it?
  • Do you allow your inner critic to Rise or do you suppress it?
  • Do you know ways to understand your inner critic and deal with it?
  • How would it be it you could transform it?
  • If you could, what would you transform it into?

  • How many of your inner critics are rising while you read this?
  • If you could do one thing to deal with your inner critic, what would that be?

Do share with us!
