This Week in FOCUS - from Peg
Bay and I are looking forward to some in person ministry soon-to-come in December! WAHOO... In the meantime, we're still primarily virtual, as in radio, podcasting, blogging, and "retreating" as we serve and speak to others via Zoom and video technology. Recently, I snapped a couple of pictures of Bay as he "zoomed" in on his first ministry event via that new medium for ministry (see picture below). I think he found it to be one of the better alternatives when we can't be meeting in person!
Last weekend, I was involved in another virtual retreat for women from all over the world...I spoke, counseled, led a small group, and took part in a mini-workshop. Here are some of the cold-facts-representing-warm-hearts for this retreat:
- 57 Kingdom-minded women (not counting the 40+ volunteers that showed up, as well)
- 466 years of service overseas represented (combined total)
- 9 different nationalities (for example, one of the women I met with for counseling is from Zimbabwe, serving in Poland!!!!)
- 23 Passport countries represented in these meetings
The women used these words in their evaluations: "unifying, inspiring, challenging, convicting, beautiful, Holy Spirit led..."
See the pictures below, which include a variety of retreat views...
For both Bay and I...we are so grateful that we are able to serve even amidst the paucity of actual in-person-ministry. We are overflowing with the joy of how the Lord just keeps on making His Word and His GREAT NAME KNOWN...
"Oh Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! Ps 8:1"
