Round Up Cowboy Church. Farmersville, TX.

Road Trip!

It's been a while since we've been on the road for a full three weeks, but during our time away, we visited board members, family, ministry supporters, and dear friends (some fit all categories!). We spoke at a Cowboy Church (see above), three different FCA events, a Sunday morning chapel service on an army base, and a two-hour-interview with our grand-kids youth pastors that will be aired on the podcast that reaches teens and young adults all over Arizona and other parts of the country. We stopped briefly to see what the fuss was all about at The Silos (think Chip and Joanna Gaines) in Waco, toured the Alamo (first ever visit for Peg) and enjoyed the Christmas lights via boat along the River Walk in San Antonio, ate out at some pretty amazing restaurants, and walked miles and miles of beach on San Padre Island (Peg thinks in between events she logged about 26 total over 4 days....we were blessed that FCA provided us with an apartment very near the beach). BUT...best of all, we were able to share the good news of Jesus, which is exactly what comes into "FOCUS" during the Christmas season more than any other time! New souls were birthed into the Kingdom of God...and, others were challenged to go deeper-still into the Word of the Lord. It was a great and fruitful ministry trip!!  (Join us on a "pictorial journey" of our trip below...)

When we left, fall was still clinging to Colorado with some lovely 60-degree weather. She surrendered to winter just before we arrived home, and snow now covers the ground with more falling since our arrival - think it's here to stay, giving us a lovely white Christmas!

Since our kids and our kids' kids live such busy lives, it was a delight to stop and spend time with Adam, Cher, AJ, Titus, Addy, Kelvie, and Bryley Joy. From there, we snuck in a visit with Mandy, Tim and two of their four (Hailey Grace and Ethan). We'll catch daughter Steph, husband Todd, and Hayden, Meg and Ellie for Christmas in Cedaredge, Colorado. We are thrilled to get snippets of time with each family as we can...

Top Two Pics: In Corpus Christi, at Texas A & M (Corpus), Bay was privileged to share Jesus with the basketball team. He then spoke at their first Fields of Faith (pictures above are of Bay giving instruction to the students who would be the "response team" for those who would give their lives to Christ that night...and of Bay speaking to the group in the stands).

Bottom Two Pics: Sharing the importance of FCA at a fundraiser banquet held at the Corpus Christi Yacht Club. What a huge success for this new ministry to help it get off the ground.
In San Antonio...The Alamo, The River Walk, and the night time boat cruise....
Bay filled the pulpit at Sunday morning "chapel" on base at Ft. Huachuca, Sierra Vista, AZ.  "The Well" has been established for the soldiers that come through this training facility, with the following mission statement - to get them: Grounded, Growing, and Going for Jesus... It thrilled us to see such a solid Sunday morning environment for our young soldiers, and they were an engaging audience!
While at Ft. Huachuca, we got to watch our grandson, AJ, play basketball (#44) and take our youngest grand-treasure, Brynley, to visit Santa Claus at the USO Christmas Village...(she was more concerned about him noticing her sparkly nails than telling him what she wanted for Christmas).
And...before heading home, we snuck in a "Switch Tournament" with our Mace kids in Casa Grande, AZ. Don't ask me what they are supposed to be doing - Papa and I found ourselves slow to process and quick to lose each round... The joys of innovative technology... (smile)...
From both of us...may this miracle of miracles cause you to stop and ponder the wonder of the Greatest of All Christmas Gifts. Merry Christmas to each of you! We so appreciate the love, prayers and support through each year...
With love,

Bay and Peg
