  • The Program Office will be closed on Fridays Dec 4, Dec 11, Dec 18.
  • We will also be closed Wednesday Dec 23-Sunday Jan 3 for Winter Break and resume business hours on Monday Jan 4.

Important Reminders


Graduate Remote Instruction Innovation Fellows Program
Applications Due Monday Nov 23
  • The program is intended for graduate students teaching discussion sections or stand-alone courses (e.g., Reading & Composition, studios, or foreign languages), and those GSIs who are assisting a faculty member in revising a course to be taught remotely in Spring 2021 or Summer 2021.
  • GRI Innovation Fellows will be expected to devote approximately 70 hours to the program from Dec 7 to Jan 15, 2021. This includes a one-week intensive seminar with synchronous and asynchronous components (Dec 7-11) on designing courses to enhance student learning in a remote environment. From Dec 14 to Jan 15, 2021, Fellows will work independently on the creation of course materials (in consultation with the Instructor of Record, as appropriate) and self-guided training. Each GRI Fellow will receive a stipend of $2,000 and a Certificate in Remote Instruction.

UC Launch Accelerator Spring 2021 Application Open
Applications Due Sunday Dec 6
  • Looking for ways to launch your startup and raise thousands of dollars in funding? LAUNCH is University of California's leading accelerator focused on transforming promising startups into scalable businesses. 
  • Three startups stand to receive up to $25,000 at the end of the accelerator program, in non-dilutive funding, i.e. we take no equity from startups in our program.
  • To apply, companies must have a working prototype that demonstrates their business’s viability and a UC student, faculty, or alum on their team. Watch how LAUNCH helped startups succeed.

EWMBAA Speaker Series: Priya Bajaj, EW 22

  • The EWMBA Association is hosting a speaker series highlighting the experiences of fellow classmates, alumni, and their networks! Up next is Priya Bajaj.
  • Priya will be covering Professional Services and how she has leveraged her MBA knowledge to be more effective in her career and in her overall professional growth at Google. She will also discuss pivoting strategies for people who want to break into Technology Consulting. Then she will be taking questions!
  • Priya currently leads a team of Program Managers at Google in the Cloud organization, and previously worked at Microsoft. Priya has 6+ years of experience in Professional Services function at technology companies serving customer-facing roles.

Small Group TMAY Practice
Multiple dates and times available

  • Join two of your peers and a CMG coach to practice and get feedback on your "Tell me about yourself - TMAY." We encourage you to sign up for a TMAY workshop prior to this practice session and to have a draft TMAY to test out during the session. Get started early because finding the right stories to tell and being able to tell them well takes time. Waiting until you get an interview to prep will be too late.
  • To sign up for a practice session, please log in to CMG BEARS, navigate to the Events module, and type Small Group TMAY Practice in the search bar.   

Program Office Tips & Tidbits


Fall 2020 Grade Letters
  • Official grade letters for the Fall 2020 semester will not be available until Jan. Professors cannot start entering grades to CalCentral until Dec 5 and the final deadline is Dec 23.
  • Please review your employers documentation requirements carefully. If your employer's year end deadline for reimbursement is before Dec 23 but your grades have not posted to CalCentral, unofficial grade letters stating you "received a grade of B- or better" can be requested via this form and by submitting proof of B- or better to ewmba_office@haas.berkeley.edu.

What to do if... You need to plan ahead for Spring 2021 fees

How to Calculate the Spring 2021 Fees
  • The all inclusive per unit fee for 2020-2021 is $3464. Multiply that by the number of units you will be taking.
  • Spring 2021 tuition will be due in January. Enrollment in the Fee Payment Plan is per semester, not per year. Students must enroll in the plan again for Spring 2021.
Setting up your Direct Deposit Account
  • A Direct Deposit Electronic Funds Transfer Account is the easiest way to get refunds. 
  • Go to CalCentral > My Finances > Financial Resources > Billing & Payments > Direct Deposit.
  • Complete the steps to set up your account.
1098-T Form
  • Students will receive notification that their 1098-T form is read by the end of Jan 2021. More information here on the Student Billing website.
