News About You

DLPs in Action
  • Lucas Peterson, EW 23, and his colleagues at Bandcamp are proud to be featured in a recent article covering the company's values and response to the pandemic.
  • Of the Defining Leadership Principles he sees in action, Lucas says, "'Question the Status Quo' and 'Beyond Yourself' are the two most relevant - the former in that our company stands in contrast to the dominant music subscription streaming model (which has been under increasing criticism for underpaying artists, especially now that live touring, a major revenue stream for artists, is not possible) and the latter in that we began forgoing our cut of all sales on the first Friday of every month since March (and will continue throughout 2020) to help artists earn more money during these challenging times. On those 7 Fridays alone we have been able to pay out artists over $30 million, and in total nearly $100 million has gone to artists since the beginning of March."
Share your stories and examples of the Defining Leadership Principles in action in this "new normal" by emailing (P.S. We still love sharing new baby Haasie photos, too!)
