Special Council Meeting

A Special Meeting will be held on Tuesday, 9 August 2022  commencing at 10.00am at the Council Chambers, 64-66 Front Street, Mossman.

Evacuation Working Group

This week, Douglas hosted the inaugural meeting of the Queensland Evacuation Working Group. 
The Group formed to tailor solutions to current challenges so we are all more prepared in emergency and disaster situations.
During these situations, Council will keep you up to date with Douglas Disaster Information Facebook Page and the Disaster Dashboard

Council Major Grants Program

Council’s Major Grant will open for applications 1 August 2022.
Council will be holding information sessions to assist you in the application process of applying for a major grant.

Council rates have been issued.

Ratepayers have until close of business Tuesday, 23 August to pay their accounts.
Anyone in the Douglas Shire who has not received their Rate notice or is having difficulty paying their account, please contact Council.

Notice of Temporary Maintenance Closure at the Daintree Ferry - November 2022

The Daintree River Ferry will not operate from 10pm Friday 18 November 
2022 until 5am Tuesday 22 November 2022 to allow for important safety maintenance  work to be completed.
