CFMA is largely a volunteer-run organization with a paid staff person at 20 hours/month.  We rely on the generous support of our members, board of directors, and community partners to provide support to rural and urban farmers markets across Colorado.  Our programs are funded through membership dues and generous contributions from funders and statewide partners to provide a variety of services to our member markets and vendors.

Agricultural Economy
You are invited to enjoy a healthy lunch, opportunities to meet your legislators, an awards ceremony to honor legislators and a community activist, a spotlight on local champions and accomplishments, and an opportunity to ­find out more about LiveWell Colorado’s 2016 policy work to promote "healthy eating and active living" (HEAL) throughout our state.  Enjoy lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Old Supreme Court Chambers hallway, followed by the main event from noon to 1 p.m. in the Old Supreme Court Chambers.

Save the date for a joint CFMA/Boulder County Farmers Market Association/Jefferson County Extension training for market managers and vendors
on using EBT and
managing SNAP in your market. 
  • 10am-11:30am: new market sign-up and information
  • 11:30am-1:45pm: learn how to manage and promote your SNAP program.

DEADLINE:  APRIL 15, 5 pm 
The Colorado Department of Agriculture will have approximately $550,000 available for this year’s grant program, with approved projects starting early in 2017.  Producer groups, organizations, and associations, as well as state and local organizations, academia and other specialty crops stakeholders are eligible to apply either as a single entity or in combined efforts.  Grants must impact the specialty crop industry as a whole and cannot be used to solely enhance an individual farming operation or business. 
Proposals must be received electronically by the close of business (5:00PM) on April 15th, 2016.
