Get Ready, Get Listed!
Act before JULY 15

National Farmers Market week is coming August 7-13
and you want people to find your market through the
USDA National Famers Market Directory listing.

It’s easier than ever to register!  In less than 10 minutes you’re done.
If this is your first time listing your market in the Directory,
go to www.usdadirectoryupdate.com to add your market.
If you do not know if your farmers market is listed or if you need to update your information, then you can search at that link to find out.

The USDA National Farmers Market Directory is used by mobile application developers to help consumers find you or other markets across the nation.   The Directory attracted over 400,000 page views from users last year.  It’s the “go-to” resource for consumers, researchers, community planners and more to better understand farmers markets across the nation.

Got a Great Poster?   Win CASH!

National Farmers Market Week (August 7-13) is just around the corner...
To get the party started, the Farmers Market Coalition (FMC) announces the 2016 Farmers Market Poster Contest!

FMC wants to applaud your creative efforts with a chance to win a cash prize for your market! They’re looking for posters that depict a combination of engaging graphics, informative messaging and regional or market identity. Four prizes will be offered in the following categories: 1st and 2nd place for best overall poster; best EBT/Nutrition Incentive poster; and the Fan Favorite - the poster with the most VOTES on Facebook.

A panel of judges will determine the 1st, 2nd, and EBT/Nutrition Incentive poster winners, while our Facebook followers can vote online to crown the Fan Favorite winner. Winners will be announced during National Farmers Market Week! And don't forget to use the hashtag #MyMarketPoster to share your designs on social media. Entry requirements and rules here

LET'S HONOR
TALENTED PRODUCERS!

Good Food Awards will launch its seventh year of honoring producers who make food that is delicious, tied to communities and cultural traditions, and respectful of the environment.  Do you have a member of your market community whom you’d like to honor?  Do you yourself have a great product to enter?

This year's entry period runs from July 5 through July 31. The  14  categories this year include charcuterie, cheese, cider, confections, honey, pickles, preserves and – our newest category this year - fish.  We hope someone from among our CFMA members or markets will be one the honored Good Food Awards Winners for 2017 ... Pass it on!
