Dear Organ lover

Please help staff events for the IAO at their festival in Peterborough in a couple of weeks. Also: programmes for the next two organ recitals at Stamford. Nigel Stark from Stamford first, and ending on the 27th with the Recital Prizewinner from London Organ Competition for Teenagers, Felix Elliott, who is including his own composition.

Staffing Needed for Events
As I am sure you are aware, the IAO (President: Steven Grahl) is holding its 2018 festival in Peterborough later this month. It is an exciting event, with many concerts and an organ competition. It would be good to get involved, and they have asked for our help in staffing some events.
If you might be available between 29th July and 2nd August, please help out (free admission to the event included!). I have set up a Google Form: have a look at when help is needed (see below), and please sign up.
STAFFING IS NEEDED FOR THESE IAO EVENTS

(1) 16:30 on Sunday 29 July. Peterborough Cathedral.
2 people will be required at the cathedral entrance to sell tickets and programmes for the organ recital which starts at 17.30. 2 people also required in the South Transept to assist in setting up tables and wine for the reception at the conclusion of the recital. The reception will take place in the South Transept, or if the weather is reasonable in the cloisters, in which case everything will need to be taken outside. A decision will be made on the day.

(2) 18:00 on Monday 30 July. Peterborough Cathedral.
Concert by Schola Cantorum, which starts at 19.00hrs.
2 people required to sell tickets and programmes.

(3) 12.00 - 14.00 on Thursday 2 August. Open Consoles.
This is an event where by participants are allowed to play at 3 local venues. To ensure an even distribution they have to enter their name on a list at registration which ensures that they do not all start at the same place.
1 person at each venue; Cathedral, St John's Church, Church Street, PE1 1XB, St Mary's Church New Road PE1 1TT. An overview is need to ensure that each player gets a fair share of time to play.

(4) 18:00 on Thursday 2 August. Peterborough Cathedral
Organ Competition final, which starts at 19.00.
2 people required to sell tickets and programmes.

If you can't assist with staffing, but want to attend the workshops and concert, day & event tickets are now on sale (until this Thursday (19th)). There is a pdf of the programme here.

Online Booking is here.
