James invites students and friends for an ORGAN INSPIRATION DAY

at St Mary’s and All Saints’, Fotheringhay PE8 5HZ

SATURDAY 10 OCTOBER 2020 (10am to 5pm)

play to each other

  • share new repertoire that you’ve been learning during lockdown or wish to tackle
  • re-experience the pleasure of making music with pipes rather than chips
  • play other excellent organs in the area
socialise and reconnect

REQUESTED DONATION FOR THE DAY - £25 PER STUDENT ON THE DAY

Meanwhile, across the country, although not as far as I know in this area, some churches are filming their organ recitals for YouTube. Gillingham Methodist Church is nowhere near us, but I thought they have been particularly enterprising.

Saturday 18th April – Open Afternoon for National Organ Day in Stamford

Informal event at St. George’s, Stamford in the afternoon, 2:30-4pm. Come and play the organ, or just look around and find out more. followed by short recital by Keith Foley at 4pm. Details to follow. The organ at St. George’s is originally from 1825, rebuilt by Hill in 1880, and cleaned and overhauled in 1975. (NPOR N05489)
