Organ Recital at Kimbolton
Saturday 15th February
Saturday 15th February 2020, 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m.
Informal Organ Recital at St. Andrew’s Church, Kimbolton

Members of the Northampton & District Organists’ Association will be giving an informal Organ Recital on Saturday afternoon, 15th February, 2020, at St. Andrew’s Church, Kimbolton (organ by George Osmond, NPOR D04186). The church address is Thrapston Road, Kimbolton, Cambs. PE28 0AE. It is 7 miles west of St Neots on the B645. The church has the only Tiffany window in the UK, of which there are many photos online.

Although listed as a Members' Recital they would be happy to welcome players or listeners from PDOA (see below). Parents and friends of performers and members are also welcome, and light refreshments will be provided. Entry is free but there will be a box for donations.

The recital will include members’ own compositions and improvisations, and an introductory talk by Robert Tucker, the Director of Music.

Notice to perform is needed. Practice times during the morning of 15th February, or earlier, can be booked, as can lunch at the New Sun Inn at 20 High Street. For more details and to book a practice or performance slot or lunch, please contact John Wilson:

National Organ Day - Saturday 18th April

Saturday 18th April – Open Afternoon for National Organ Day in Stamford

Informal event at St. George’s, Stamford in the afternoon, 2:30-4pm. Come and play the organ, or just look around and find out more. followed by short recital by Keith Foley at 4pm. Details to follow. The organ at St. George’s is originally from 1825, rebuilt by Hill in 1880, and cleaned and overhauled in 1975. (NPOR N05489)
