AGM Reminder - this Wednesday at 6pm

Dear Organ lover

This is just a quick reminder that the Peterborough Organists' Association will be holding its AGM this Wednesday (16th September) at 6pm at St Andrews, Ufford. Several members have put themselves up for election to the committee, which is pleasing, because both John Mullen and I will be standing down from our positions.

If you haven't yet volunteered, and think you could, please send an email to John before Wednesday.

Following the AGM, I shall give a short organ recital on the Kenneth Tickell organ at Ufford (short, because I fear it may be cold in the church!). At the moment I am planning to play: Micheelsen and Handel, before finishing with the Suite No. 1 by Alan Smith (1962-2017). I find the Suite really satisfying to play, and I hope it is equally satisfying to listen to. (Our original plan was for the Cathedral Organ Scholar to give this concert, but he left, and his message to his successor clearly wasn't passed on or wasn't received. Perhaps next year?).

Only then, can we troll down the road to the inn, for a drink and a meal, for which I hope you will join us.

Best wishes
