Help JLens create the first Jewish mutual fund!

Dear Friends,
JLens is starting off the year 5775 with an ambitious goal - to create the first Jewish values-based mutual fund!

For decades, other faiths have used their investments to promote their values, as evidenced by the 100 faith-based mutual funds in the US with over $31 billion in assets.

JLens is developing the first Jewish mutual fund to:
  • Create Jewish investor activists
  • Provide a new arena for engaging with Jewish values in daily life that is accessible to everyone, regardless of wealth
  • Deploy investment capital to further the social and environmental causes supported by Jewish philanthropy
  • Advocate for the fair treatment of Israel through inter-faith shareholder engagement in the increasingly anti-Israel responsible investment field due to BDS (boycott, divest, sanction)
  • Engage younger generations who are attracted to investments and businesses that support their values and create positive impact
  • Enable the Jewish community to gain familiarity with values-based impact investing through the most common type of investment, an equity index mutual fund, as an entry point to explore additional impact investing options
Please take this 3-minute survey to share your thoughts with us on the social, environmental and Israel-related factors that will shape the fund.

JLens is seeking institutional partners to help us launch. If you are on the leadership team or investment committee of a Jewish institution, please contact us to learn about the fund we have in development to increase engagement with Jewish social, environmental and Israel-related values while meeting financial goals.

Thank you for your support,

Julie Hammerman

Divestment Trauma Hinders Jewish Climate Change Action
The word 'divest' is understandably disturbing given the connection to anti-Israel efforts, but it shouldn't keep us from considering the environment in our investment process.
