First SC SCREAM participants tell us about their mobility project

Dear <<First Name>>,
This week is the first anniversary of our Suitcase Circus final seminar in Buenos Aires. Lots of great memories! During 6 days, partners from Argentina, Belgium, Chile, Costa Rica, Estonia, Mexico, Spain and United Kingdom gathered together to discuss about the impact that this project had on young people and at the end start discussion on the next stage: Suitcase Circus SCREAM.

One year after, joined by Australia, we are very glad to send you news from the first participants of this new project. Following their mobility abroad, we invite each participant to write a testimony about their experience and highlight a method they've learnt.

This e-newsletter presents those testimonies which - we hope - will inspire other professionals to undertake or develop similar experiences. They also wrote a small paragraph about a method they’ve learnt and that may interest you. Partners will also find useful links and reminders on this newsletter which will be sent on a regular basis.

REMINDER FOR PARTICIPANTS & PARTNERS: Participants need to keep all their travel tickets (e.g. boarding passes) and send to Clair (clair@everythingispossible.eu) the originals and scans.

SPREAD THE WORD: Do not hesitate to share information, testimonies, pictures related to SC SCREAM. Don't forget to join us on social media:

"I’ve learn so many things"

Rika Taeymans from Cirkus in Beweging (Belgium) tells us about her mobility project with Tsirkus Folie:

"During the festival I was also teaching a workshop myself : JACK’S ACROBATICS it was called , just as the title of the book I wrote.; a workshop for parents and young children to play together with easy acrobatic forms. I found it a real challenge to do a workshop in this town Tallinn as I did not speak a word of Estonian or Russian. It was such a nice experience and I am really glad I offered to do this." "Erasmus+, it’s a wonderful way to connect the world"

Nicola Hemsley from Kaos Youth Circus Ltd (United Kingdom) went for a 2 weeks mobility project with Tsirkus Folie ( Tallinn, Estonia):

"During my mobility in Estonia, I job shadowed Terje, as she delivered her new term of circus activities, as well as attending the Circus Tree festival, which Folie were hosting. We also supported Terje on some of the company’s outdoor events and shows post festival, and worked alongside Terje and her staff to raise the profile of circus in Estonia. During the festival I was fortunate enough to attend all but one of the programmed shows, and had a fabulous opportunity to attend a Baltic-Nordic circus network meeting which has once again enabled me to create new professional contacts as well as many new circus friends." “I came back inspired and motivated to do better”

Ohiane Uranga from England about her mobility project with Tsirkus Folie:

"The second week was quite different but as interesting as the first. We did mainly job shadowing in the circus school as all the classes had just started and was good to see different methods. We also helped with the Wisdom Day event, first day of school and the children from the circus school performed in the square of freedom. We had an interesting Directors meeting about management, funding, communication and problem solving. I also had the chance to train aerial with young professional performers."
