<<First Name>>,

I hope you had a refreshing break and I look forward to seeing you soon!  Below is info about the spring recital, as well as a great recording opportunity for my 7-11 year old singers.  Please request your preferred dates and let me know if you're interested in the recording!

SWS Spring Recital

Click here to request your preferred date(s) ASAP!

This year's recital will be combined with a Mini-Interactive Songwriting Workshop!  Several students will present their own compositions during the recital.  This is a great chance for students and parents to explore their creativity through music.

I would like to invite everyone to be a part of the recital, even if you aren't currently taking lessons.  If your child has friends who would like performance experience, please let me know.  Everyone is welcome, even parents!  Please take advantage of the opportunity to perform for a kind and forgiving audience, no matter what age or level.  We will have all age groups and genres!

Please let me know if none of these dates work and we can explore other possibilities. If you will go away for the summer, or plan to pause your lessons until the fall, please email the dates.  This will greatly help me in planning my summer performance and work schedule.  =)

Upcoming Recording Opportunity
for Young Singers!

SWS students, ages 7-11 are welcome to audition to sing in a group/individual vocal recording session for Gryphon Rue's composition, "Google Portrait".  Please let me know if your children and/or their school friends are interested.  We are looking for as many singers as possible!

Students will receive an MP3 to learn the song, in addition to coaching in their regular lessons. Several dates will be available for rehearsal/recording and each child may come to one or all sessions.

The final recording will be featured on a full album of Mr. Rue's original compositions.

For children who have dreams of becoming singers or recording artists, this is a great opportunity to record in a studio setting and develop musicianship for future performing arts programs and training.

Rehearsal and recording sessions take place on the same day and will last approximately 2-3 hours.   Fun and inspiring vocal and songwriting activities will take place during breaks and snack time.

Composer, Gryphon Rue is a graduate of Bard College with a BA in Music and a regular performer in New York City's alternative folk and rock music scenes.
