March 9th Event Has Major Turnout
On March 9th the Vision & Goals workshop held at the Ballenger Fieldhouse at Mott Community College saw over 450 people, 77% Flint residents, attend to have their voices heard in shaping this plan. The results of this workshop went on to form the Vision & Guiding Principles discussed below. To see the preliminary report from the March 9th event click here. Vision & Guiding Principles Formally Adopted
At the Planning Commission meeting on April 23rd the Vision and Guiding Principles document that came from the discussion at the March 9th event was formally adopted. This document will shape the plan as we go forward and guide what issues are prioritized and what sort of city this plan pushes Flint to be. Sub-Area Plans Adopted
Approved on March 26th, 8 different city areas have been selected to be the focus of sub area plans that will take the goals of the master plan and go into much more detail. The selected areas can be seen here.
Project Studio Open for Art Walk
This Friday May 10th, stop into the Project Studio at 140 E. Second Street (inside the Capitol Theater) to see where the plan is at and to give your input. The studio will be open from 6pm-9pm and is open to all those interested.
