Wed, March 2--join us for an hour of Bible study led by Ron Merville
Wed, March 9--we welcome Brooke Baker, David Osgood and Sarah Imran from the Faith and Culture Center to present the "Our Muslim Neighbor" initiative. Brooke represents the Faith and Culture Center; David is a Muslim convert and serves as Operations and Business Manager with Faith and Culture Center. He is a retired business man who worked in Egypt for several decades; Sarah recently moved here from Pakistan to attend Vanderbilt University's Peabody School of Education where she is pursuing a masters in Community Action and Development.

Children's Message Sign Up!
Join our Blakemore village committed to raising its children in faith and love. Visit to choose your Sunday to share a 2-3 minute lesson during the 10:30 a.m worship service.  The church staff can help with themes and creative ideas.  Contact LaDonna Merville ( for more information.

13 gal. trash bags and 30-33 gal. trash bags.  The ones you buy at Dollar Tree are just fine.  Leave donations in the barrel located in Fellowship Hall and marked for Community Care.  We do not need empty pill containers at this time.  We can always use men's and women's underwear and socks.

Double Nickel had their first outing of the year last Thursday. We toured The Next Door, an addiction treatment center, and then had a yummy BBQ lunch. Our next event on April 11th is a visit to the Bluebird Cafe--so fun!  Keep your eye out for more information closer to the date.  Want to be added to our contact list?  Let Kathy Jackson know, or 615-830-2227.

Free Concert at Scarritt-Bennett Center

The Concert Choir and Chamber Singers of United Methodist-related North Central College in Naperville, Illinois, will offer a free concert at Scarritt-Bennett Center on March 17 at 7:30 PM.  The concert will feature sacred and secular music from Whitacre, Byrd, and Christiansen, as well as folksongs of the world, and more.

The Blakemore United Methodist Men (BUMMs) invite any and all men to our annual retreat at the Beersheba Springs Turner Lodge on April 22nd-24th, 2016.  Join us for fun, fellowship and food!  Program information and registration forms will be available soon.
Church policy states that events will be cancelled on days that Metro schools are closed due to inclement weather. We will also try to send out an email, especially regarding Wednesday Night Life.

Cedar Crest offers “first time” camp experiences for campers finishing 1-2 grades in our Mini Camps, Elementary Camps for children who have finished grades 2-5, Junior High Camps for youth who have finished grades 6-8, and Senior High Camps for those who have finished grades 9-12. Back again this summer is our popular outpost camp option, so come spend the night in a hammock under the stars!
