Fourth Sunday after the Epiphany
Scripture: Matthew 5:1-12

This Sunday, January 29, we will continue our new sermon series called "But I Say...Jesus' Difficult Teachings from the Sermon on the Mount." We'll take an extended look at the largest block of Jesus' teachings from the Gospels in Matthew 5-7. This Sunday, we'll look at Matthew 5:1-12 in which Jesus tells us, "Blest are they..." and is known as the Beatitudes. In this passage, Jesus challenges our traditional understanding of what it means to be blessed and calls us to be a blessing to others.  We hope you'll join us this Sunday at 10:30 am.
For the next three weeks, Pastor John will lead the adult program at Wednesday Night Life in Room 204 at 6:30. We will use a Bible Study from the Converge series entitled Kingdom Building. Here are the topics for each of the three weeks:
January 25 - "With My Enemy" (Luke 10:25-37)
February 1 - "With Those I Despise" (Luke 7:36-50)
February 8 - "Through Community" (Acts 4:23-37)
