Palm Sunday
Scripture: Luke 19:28-40

This Sunday, April 9, is Palm Sunday, which is the Sunday before Easter and the last Sunday in the season of Lent. During this season, we have been doing a sermon series called "Interruptions," borrowed from the book of the same name by Jacob Armstrong. In the series, we've explored the interruptions we face - large and small - and how God also calls us to be interrupters. On this last Sunday, we'll examine the beginning of the greatest interruption of them all: Jesus' death and resurrection. We hope you'll make plans to join us this Sunday at 10:30 am.

Brentwood UMC is hosting a women's conference on April 22nd from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. and have extended an invitation to the women of Blakemore.

A note from Brentwood UMC: The idea for Woven was born out of a real and deep need to see Women of the Methodist tradition at the front and center of an event FOR Christian women, IN our community -- to have something that reached out beyond the church walls and gathered women to celebrate their daughterhood as God’s beloved.  Our desire is to affirm women's struggles, celebrate their accomplishments, and to support women in their faith journeys -- to encourage and embolden them to own their faith and live it loud.  We are hosting two great speakers, Barb Roose and Melissa Spostra in partnership with Abingdon Press and we would love to have you!  Join us on April 22nd at Brentwood UMC at 309 Franklin Rd from 9am-4pm.

A quick video from Barb Roose about the conference can be accessed here.

To register for this event, please click here.

For more information about what items can and cannot be recycled, please click here.
Note: There is a fee for recycling CRT monitors and non-flat screen televisions.
The stART from Scratch art camp happens because of volunteers who generously donate their time and gifts. We would like to invite the artists, teachers, and leaders from our church family (and extended family) to help create another amazing experience for the kids in our community. Your input and participation will help shape this year's program. Please sign up here today!

Blakemore UMC can receive a small donation
each time you shop at Kroger or Amazon!

To sign up for Kroger Community Rewards, visit www.kroger.com/communityrewards. You will then either need to sign-in or create an account. After doing so, click on the Enroll Now button. You will be asked to verify all your information, including - and this is the important part - your Kroger Plus number. Then click on the Enroll button at the bottom under Community Rewards. Type in "Blakemore" and then click the box next to our name when it appears and hit Enroll. Now, every time you use your Kroger Plus Card, we will receive money. If you haven't re-enrolled in 2017, your enrollment has probably lapsed. Please check!

To sign up for AmazonSmile donations, visit
smile.amazon.com and follow the prompts to select Blakemore as your charity of choice. Each time you shop with Amazon, you'll need to start at smile.amazon.com (instead of just amazon.com) for Blakemore to receive the donation.
