A way out of the fans maze?

Achieving an even greenhouse climate is the cornerstone of Next Generation Growing (NGG), but growers are often bewildered by conflicting advice from consultants, air treatment and fan manufacturers and the wide range of equipment available.
Should a grower invest in air treatment bringing in fresh air from outside? If so which system will suit best? Is heat recovery a good investment? Air tubes under the crop? Above the crop? Horizontal fans? Vertical fans?
A recent article in the Dutch on-line magazine Ingreenhouses gives some useful pointers about the pros and cons of the most popular options. You can read it yourself here. (Go to pages 33 - 35.)
