Competition & Jumble Trail News - August 2014

Jumble Trail 21st Sept 10-3
Final Call - 7 Days Left to Register Your Stall!

Residents are setting up stalls in their front gardens to sell their food, crafts and forgotten treasures. Everything from vintage clothing and furniture, to homemade sweet treats and toys will be available to purchase.  Everyone in the community around St James Street, Coppermill Lane, Palmerston Road, Arkley/Gosport Road, Markhouse Road and Blackhorse Road can take part. Bargain hunters can navigate their own trail through the streets with the aid of a  downloadable map providing the location of all stalls.

We have 65 confirmed stalls and there is over a week to go. It’s great fun whether you want to be a stallholder or a customer and we are sure that there is more than enough community spirit in Walthamstow to beat Hackney's 100 stalls! It is a really great fun way to spend the day so go to where you can to register, get downloads and updates on where you can pick up a paper trail map on the day.

If you are having trouble registering or know someone who wants to be involved but doesn't have internet access, please get in touch with our worker Neesha Badhan at or by phone on: 07881 015 873

How can you help?

This autumn our group will begin the process of setting up "The Partnership" which will be a new transparent, democratic and cooperative organisation which will take St James Big Local through the next 10 years and beyond. If you are interested in being involved please speak to our worker Neesha Badhan for more information. Details as above.

We are also looking for volunteers to help with IT, marketing, film making, admin, event planning, data entry, newsletter production, human resources and finance/accounting. If you have any experience (or want to get some!) do get in touch by sending us a message through the website here.

Do you have a group that would want to host or attend a meeting? Or do you have an idea for a consultation event? Send us a message here.
