Your insurance
Treasurers (and immediate past treasurers) have been sent insurance renewal questionnaires from Civic Insurance, the brokers of Council's group insurance scheme. P&C treasurers, in conjunction with the committee, should review their insurance needs, fill in the questionnaire and return it to Civic Insurance by June 1.
In order to make sure your insurance covers your P&C properly, you must fully disclose all P&C operations, events, and so on, including accurate total numbers of people to be covered by the policy. Once your form is received, the insurers will issue your P&C an invoice for the required insurance. Any queries, please contact David McAlary at Civic Insurance or our office.

Workers compensation insurance
If your P&C has paid employees, you should also have received a wages estimate form, due to be returned to Civic Insurance by June 1. Based on your estimate, you will be sent an invoice for workers compensation cover, with payment due June 30.

Preschool society merger
Council is pleased to announce plans for the Canberra Preschool Society (CPS) to merge with Council over the next few months. The CPS has been looking after Parent Associations at Canberra's Preschools and Playschools and advocating for families for 75 years and we welcome the new focus on early childhood education that the merger will bring to Council.
In line with this focus, we have established an Early Learning sub-Committee (nominations for this committee will be open from July 1) and will also be creating a new office position - Early Learning Officer (which will be advertised shortly). We'll let you know more about the new arrangements in the coming months.
