Canteen connect
Save the date, because Canberra's own event for school canteens is on again this year - a great chance to network with other people involved with running school canteens and pick up the latest tips, ideas and information.
It will be held on Tuesday 17 September from 4-6pm at Pick Up Stix Kitchen & Bar at the Lyneham Hockey Centre. Add it to your calendar now so you don't miss it!

Pass it on!
We strive to provide information of interest to all school parents in the Council Communicator. If you think any of the items will interest parents at your school, please pass them on via your school newsletter or whatever other means you wish. We would be grateful if you would share information on The Final Quarter.
We now have a template page for school newsletters to make it easier for you to cut and paste items to submit to your school newsletter under the P&C Council banner if you wish to share the information with your school community.

The Final Quarter
Reconciliation Australia and the Australian Human Rights Commission urge Australians to tune in to The Final Quarter - a documentary about footballer Adam Goodes - with their family, friends or sporting club. The documentary was aired on 18 July but is now available on Network Ten’s catch-up service, 10Play, for a month. Council encourages families to discuss the film and its anti-racism message. There are resources to support conversations about racism: Lets talk race; Guide to National Reconciliation Week.
