Welcome!
A massive welcome to all the new P&C Office Bearers! Thanks for volunteering (or volunteering again!).
This fortnightly eBulletin goes to all P&C Office Bearers with must know info to keep your P&C on track this year! Plus, updates on what your P&C Council is up to (you are our members, after all) and interesting info you might like to share.
Please remember that P&C Council is here to help you, so please check out our online resources (especially the To Do list) and, if you have any questions, do email or call (6241 5759).

Farewell?
If you are finishing up on your P&C, a huge THANK YOU for all your volunteered time and effort.
Do remember to pass on your valuable knowledge to the person replacing you on the committee. A set of short handover notes with key information and a description of what to do and how is really important. To make it quicker and easier we have template handover notes for Presidents, Secretaries and Treasurers that you can customise for your P&C.
If no longer wish to receive these bulletins, please hit 'unsubscribe' at the bottom. Thanks!

Your school building and grounds
The ACT Government is running an inquiry into public school infrastructure. To help Council respond on behalf of P&Cs, we'd love to know your P&C's view of the Top 5 needs, priorities or concerns in relation to your school's buildings and grounds. We've made a form for you to quickly fill in - perhaps at your next P&C meeting - and return by email or snail mail by April 23 (Week 1 next term).

COVID-19 restrictions change
As of Saturday 6 March, there are further changes to COVID restrictions, including at schools. The Education Directorate has updated their information. There has been an increase in the allowed number of people gathering, and relaxation of density restrictions. However, there is now a greater emphasis on all events using the Check-in CBR App and having a written COVID safe plan. We are concerned that EDU intend to apply this to P&C meetings and all P&C events, even if only held for school families. We have held back this issue of Council Communicator, hoping for clarity and reassurance, but unfortunately we will have to update you all early next week. Check our COVID info page for P&Cs for all the details as soon as possible, plus our next email bulletin.

NAPLAN - what do you think?
Ahead of NAPLAN tests next term, Council is testing our current position by asking for input from parents. Please feel free to share at your school!
Tell us what you think about NAPLAN by either:
-> Commenting on this Facebook post (or FB message)
-> OR Clicking on the option below that best describes your view:
I value NAPLAN very much
NAPLAN information can be useful
Schools shouldn't teach to the test
It is too stressful for students
NAPLAN is meaningless to me
NAPLAN should be scrapped
I'd support a campaign against NAPLAN
-> OR Emailing us with your thoughts about NAPLAN. Eg. Did you miss it in 2020? Do you value the results ? Is it too stressful? Would you support an active campaign against NAPLAN, like the one in Queensland?
