Office Bearers' form

Please let us here at Council know who your 2016 P&C committee members are by completing our online Office Bearers' form (if your P&C hasn't done so already). Thanks to the P&Cs who have already completed the form, but we are waiting on many more. Filling in the form usually falls to the secretary, but presidents should check that it has been completed. Thanks!

Check our P&C To Do list for other essential tasks at this time of year.

P&C Information Sheets

Have you seen our extensive collection of online information sheets? They are designed to help P&Cs with all aspects of running their association and activities. If you have questions about the canteen, insurance, gathering more volunteers or improving your meetings, they are probably answered in these sheets. We are also happy to provide the collection, and associated templates and pro-formas, on either CD or USB drive. Printed sets are also available. Contact our office to request one of these formats.

Attention fundraisers and fete conveners

Fundraising guru Mandy Weidmann will be at the next Council meeting (March 22, Stirling) to share her tips on fundraising and recruiting volunteers. Everyone is welcome to come along (see events listing below for details).

Mandy has also offered to meet informally over a cuppa with a small group of interested people to connect and share fete and fundraising experiences and ideas. This would be on the morning of Wednesday March 23, in Hackett. Please contact us if you would like to be involved and we will get back to you with the details. Numbers are limited.

Schools for All

The Education Directorate has begun a three year program of reform, the Schools for All Program. The program will implement the recommendations of the report of the 2015 Expert Panel (Students with Complex Needs and Challenging Behaviour) while advancing an ambitious, evidence based, ‘whatever it takes’ student-centred approach to ensure priority for each student’s needs in education policy and practice in our schools.

To keep parents up to date with progress, the Directorate will hold Parent Forums once a term (the first one was last night, but we will let you know when the next is coming up). Interested parents can also keep up to date via the project's website, which includes fortnightly updates (scroll to the bottom of the page).
