New COVID requirements for P&Cs
The ACT Government now requires P&C Associations to use the Check In CBR App and have a written COVID safe plan for ALL EVENTS. This includes all P&C-organised events, such as discos, working bees, and even P&C meetings.
Check In CBR App
All schools (like most venues in the ACT) have now registered for the Check In CBR App and have QR codes ready to scan when people attend an event there. It is up to the event organiser (eg the P&C!) to ensure that all attendees at all events sign in using these codes and the App.
COVID-Safe Event plans
All events in the ACT now require a written COVID-Safe Event plan. This includes all P&C-organised events, like discos, BBQs and working bees, plus P&C meetings. This plan is simply a formal way of thinking through the risks associated with your event and how you are going to manage these risks - in the same way that you have already been doing when considering distancing and hygiene measures and so on.
To make things easier for P&Cs, Council has created this COVID-Safe Event Plan template for your association to quickly adapt to your needs. This is a single plan which can cover all of your small events (fewer than 500 people attending), from meetings to discos and working bees. Note that additional requirements apply for events with more than 500 people attending.
Download the Template P&C COVID-Safe Event plan and read more detail on our COVID information page.
Uniform shops and canteens
There is no major change for these services, but we have updated the information on our COVID information page, along with our Template Canteen COVID-safe plan (all food businesses must have one).
