Please update your details
So that we can continue to serve you - our members - we need up to date information about your 2020 committee. Even if your committee has not changed, please complete our Office Bearers' Form.
Many thanks to the 10 committees who have already completed the form - and special mention to Macquarie Primary P&C who were first in with their form this year (and honourable mentions to German Australian Playschool and Cranleigh School P&C)!! 😃

Grants
Reconcilation Day Grants are open for organisations to hold meaningful events in the lead-up to or in support of the Reconciliation Day public holiday on June 1. There are event ideas in this article.
Westfield Local Heroes - Funds community nominated individuals with a $10,000 grant to support their affiliated organisation’s work, programs or activities. Nominations close March 16, 2020.
We have a list of other grants for which P&Cs can apply, and tips on getting grants too.

Canteen deeds
We have been receiving enquiries from members about Canteen Deeds. If your P&C runs the canteen at your school, the arrangement is covered by a Deed signed by the school and P&C. The Deeds are usually valid for a term of 3 or 5 years, but don't worry if yours has expired - they generally contain a holding over clause, allowing for the agreement to continue after the expiry of the Deed on a month-to-month basis, similar to domestic rental agreements. Ideally both the school and the P&C should have copies of the signed deed. We are not expecting any large changes to deeds or canteen arrangements and believe that EDU will have a template deed that is available to schools for future canteen agreements.
