Election stalls. Sorry. No.
As you may already be aware, Elections ACT has released the list of polling places for final day polling (October 17) for the upcoming ACT election. It includes many schools.
Over the last couple of days we have been seeking clarification on conflicting advice on whether P&Cs can hold fundraising stalls and if so, under what conditions. Unfortunately, the bottom line is 'no'. Fundraising stalls are not allowed. We have received this letter on the subject.
We know this is blow to our member P&Cs.

P&C constitution template - updated
We have updated our template P&C constitution to take into account recent legislative changes. It's designed to be used as a basis for your association's constitution - make the changes you need where indicated. The sections on Conflict of Interest and Dispute Resolution have been strengthened and changed. In the next month or so (as soon as we have the staff resources) we will create resources (eg forms for members to declare a conflict and information sheets and guidelines) to help you manage Conflict of Interest in line with the legislative requirements.

Flyer to promote your P&C
We have two templates you can quickly pick up and adjust to tell your community about your P&C, what you do and how and why to get involved! Ready to go - just add your specific details, print double-sided, and fold!
One is a word document (simple design elements but easy to edit).
The other was produced by a designer in Canva (online graphic design app) as part of our P&C Promo Pack so it looks great, and you tweak the words, design and change colours however you like, but you will need a Canva account.
Click on the pics here for a better look, but find the actual customisable templates and instructions on our website.
