Parkett Conversations
(Talk in German, for German invite see below)

You and your friends are cordially invited to a Parkett Conversation at 7 p.m. on Monday, 22 February 2016 at the Parkett exhibition space on Limmatstrasse 268, 8005 Zürich.

Peter Regli will be discussing his Reality Hackings with Jacqueline Burckhardt and Bice Curiger

Peter Regli was born in Andermatt in 1959. Today, he lives and works in New York. Since 1995, he has been undertaking his Reality Hackings – making interventions, often anonymously, in the public urban space or landscape. In doing so, he explores the characteristics and history of the places themselves, whether in Zurich, Switzerland, or Nevada, USA, in Vietnam or in South Africa. So far, Regli has documented 333 Reality Hackings. They are the result of different processes and each one tends to take on a new and entirely different form. His recent works include Snow Monsters – a group of snowmen crafted from Vietnamese marble, which was presented on New York City’s Flatiron Plaza in the winter of 2015 by the Dominique Lévy Gallery. In the summer of 2015, the same gallery organised Regli’s exhibition One Sun – One Moon.

For the 2009 Swiss Sculpture Exhibition Utopics in Biel, Regli constructed a bee-hive opera. This object, together with a roundabout, now stands on the Novartis Campus in Basel.
