One statistic we knew right away, was that with a completion rate of 39%, we had achieved a good response, that compares very well with other neighbourhood planning teams, so thank you to all those who filled in the forms.
So, what do we know?
Lots; we have taken all the data and created some easier to read charts and analyses that can all be found in a Review on the MACKPlan website here.
Do please take a look and find out what people thought about potential development sites in the area, their views on the type of homes that might be built, the things they value and those that they'd like improved.
The Parish Council, who are sponsoring MACKPlan, have had an initial look at the review and decided that it is worth continuing with the neighbourhood plan process. Why? Basically, because it will give a considerable local influence over development in the area, that must be taken into account by developers and the local planning authority.
Now, the MACKPlan team has to take account of the key issues identified, look in detail at the potential development sites that were covered by the questionnaire [and a few more that were identified during the survey process] and put together a draft plan, on which you will then be consulted.
However, we can't produce that draft plan without getting feedback from residents on specific issues and potential development sites and so, during that process, there are likely to be local public meetings and other forms of consultation.
