Proposed wind turbine at Cardwell Farm, Long Cross

Following discussions with the Parish Council and the Borough Council, the applicants wanting to erect a 57.4m [188ft] high wind turbine at Cardwell Farm, Long Cross have agreed to attend a public meeting organised by the Parish Council, at which there will be a presentation of their proposals.

The meeting will be held at Milton Abbot village hall on Thursday 11^th December at 7.30 pm.

Members of the public will be able to ask questions and put forward their views on this proposed turbine. Planex, consultants for the applicants, will then take these views into account, together with those obtained from earlier consultations, when putting forward a formal application for planning permission.

Whatever your opinion of this proposed wind turbine, this is your opportunity to hear more about the proposals and make your views known.

Just a reminder that Devon County Council is carrying out a consultation exercise called Tough Choices. This is asking the public to say what cuts they would make so that the County Council achieves its savings targets.

One of the proposals directly affects Chillaton. They want to stop salting the road from Tavistock to Lifton. Before salting started about three years ago, we regularly had accidents around the village when the road was icy.
