Zazen and Discussion with Brad Warner at Silver Lake Yoga (Silverlake)
Monday, March 3 - 8:00pm-9:15pm
2810 1/2 Glendale Blvd., Studio 2
Los Angeles, CA 90039

The class will consist of thirty minutes of Zen meditation followed by discussion. There will be instructions, so beginners are encouraged to join. Zen meditation is simple and the technique can be learned in just a few minutes, though it may take years to refine it.
Jan Becker facilitates a sitting group mornings at ATS Melrose, Monday-Thursday mornings at 7am.

We've met or $3,500 Summer Fundraising Drive goal! Thanks to all who donated. Our next fundraising goal is to pay for a new mokugyo (fish-shaped drum) for our chanting services. The cost of the drum is $350, and we've raised $40 to date. We need to raise $310. Thanks for your generous support!

Donate to Mokugyo Fund
In addition to financial support, we also need a few volunteers to coordinate upcoming and current programming:
1) Snack coordinator for Monday evenings
2) Assistant audio editor/co-curator for the Hardcore Zen Podcast
3) Flowers for the altar on Saturday mornings.
4) Service Committee: volunteering for community outreach

Please respond to this email if you are possibly interested in being of service to the sangha.
Thank you for your practice,

"The buddha-way is to not be distracted. It is to become your role to the bone. This attitude is called samadhi or shikan. We don't eat food to take a shit. We don't take a shit to make manure. But in recent years, most people think that you go to high school to get into college and go to college to get a good job."
