                We're Moving Forward!

  • Our vision is clear:

Build a space that inspires learning, celebrates play and strengthens community.

  •   Our mission established:

Strengthen SW Germantown’s quality of life and build a haven for John B. Kelly School children, families and neighbors that
- celebrates play
- instills environmental stewardship
- promotes community gathering and fun in a shared sense of place.

  • We've hired a Landscape Architect

Sarah Endriss, of Asarum Land Design, is guiding us through the next phases of work (thanks to your past contributions!).

  • We've got plans in the works for:

 - Partnership with the Wissahickon Boys and Girls Club this summer for a design and build playground project
- A PWD Stormwater Management grant to help pay for schoolyard renovations
- Expanded educational opportunities in the front yard meadow
- Summer gardening and events
- A major capital campaign

  • We're building an inclusive steering committee
The Kelly School site offers great opportunity for the entire neighborhood.  Parents and staff, along with local communities of faith, businesses, social service agencies and neighbors all need to be at the table.
