Summer Fun Began Early
     at Kelly School

Pipe Organ Celebration Brings Rave Reviews!

A proud 4th grade at Kelly School showed off its creation on May 23rd to a large crowd of parents, neighbors and officials. Under the leadership of Music teacher Dana Hoffman, Art teacher Liz Aron and local artist Mindy Flexer, their hard work, made possible by a grant from the Picasso Project. was unveiled and celebrated.

Decorated with recycled plastic bottles, colored and cut into beautiful flower arrangements, the Pipe Organ is a wonderful addition to the schoolyard. It was a fun day, with music, refershments and smiles, all culminating a number of months of hard work.
Made of 18 PVC pipes, cut in various sizes to create a scale, the students painted and decorated the pipe and even helped install it!  Congrats to all involved!

Stop by the schoolyard to check it out.

  Aliens land in the Meadow!!

Well, no. Actually it's our new weather station!  Part of the plan to make the meadow a useful, fun and educational space for kids and families.

Thanks to Craig Johnson of Interpret Green for the installation, to be connected to the school's wifi system in the Fall.  Look for a VERY local weather report on the website in the near future!

Take a walk on the (very small!) wild side and stop by the meadow.  Check out the busy wrens in residence and the many native plants growing happily in the front of Kelly School.  Look for the upcoming Meadow Minders evening.

Kelly Green and AsarumLandDesign
win an Innovation award from the Sustainable Business Network!

Special thanks to Sarah Endriss for submitting her work with us for this important recognition.

We were awarded a check for $2500 in May from Recyclebank!   Funds will be used to improve educational opportunities in the meadow.

Thanks to everyone who donated to Kelly Green's Recyclebank effort.
