Carol Burnett was in New York City, the story goes, when she jumped out of her cab only to get her dress stuck in the door! Not knowing, the cab driver began to drive away, slowly edging back into the busy street.

To save her dress, her dignity, and her bones, Carol Burnett instinctively began to run alongside the car calling out. Other pedestrians ahead of her noticed and began helping get the driver’s attention. Quickly, the driver stopped and jumped out to help her. Carol Burnett looked right at the driver and asked, “Did you keep the meter running? How much more do I owe you?”

There are women and ministries among us running and getting noticed!

Abigail Bridges, a member of Roswell UMC, is joining the mission field in the next three weeks to work in the Dominican Republic with Lily House, an agency working against human trafficking.

Mary Stephens, a member of Roswell UMC, is serving as a missionary in Chile through Globalscope. During her quick trip to the United States, she is going to be sharing what she has experienced in the C.U.C. Sunday School class, as well as in
Chapel Roswell at 11:15 a.m. this Sunday.

Elisabeth McDonnell, a member of Roswell UMC and a missionary in Sierra Leone, has been working to repair water wells and provide clean drinking water. Just this week, her village project is extending its reach to provide residential care to children who lost their families to Ebola.

My Neighbor’s Pantry has been running quickly—evolving and changing with the needs of the community. Because of the volunteers, the consistency, and location, what began as a need-based feeding project two years ago will take the next step to become the official North Fulton MUST Neighborhood Pantry!

We are now the witnesses to these women running and these ministries capturing others! With a laugh and a smile, it is our turn to ask the question: “How can I help?”

See you Sunday!
We will be holding in-person worship services led by Dr. Tom Davis at 9 and 11:15 a.m. in the Sanctuary. A digital bulletin will be available at
