Northern Ontario Broadband Status Report

Blue Sky Net took a look at fixed broadband services in Northern Ontario. We analysed Northern Ontario's 500,000 registered properties and broke them down into ten broad groups.

These data sets were then cross referenced with MPAC’s digital parcel map to create the below reference table.
  • Service that can constantly deliver 5Mbps Download (Green).
  • Services that are technically “Broadband” but constantly deliver below 5Mbps (Yellow).
  • Areas where only more expensive and or mobile services existed it was considered unserved (Red).
If you'd like to know more about these findings or you have questions, please feel free to contact Jeff Buell, Project Manager, at Blue Sky Net:

Your website is your company’s virtual storefront. At its best, it presents your business to current and potential customers, showcases your products and services, and influences – or even facilitates – purchasing decisions. But poor information architecture and content strategy can turn clients away. Here are five mistakes you might be making on your website, and how to fix them.

Our MRDAP scanning project has wrapped up! Here's a look by the numbers:

  • 1 Project
  • 2 Employees
  • 3 Scanners
  • 18 Municipalities
  • 29,218 Roll Files
  • 48,238 kms Driven
  • 1,043,136 Pages Scanned

Although there are several beneficial outcomes of this project, the main reason for our GIS group municipalities to participate was to ensure the preservation of paper files from loss due to disaster or age.

So thank you to all the communities who hosted us during our scanning tour, you were all fantastic hosts! You can visit www.blueskynet.ca
