Thanksgiving Greetings! We hope this finds you happy and healthy and gearing up for a joyous holiday season. The beautiful fall leaves have been putting on a show and the crows have been putting on (their version of) a symphony. In Team Moran news, we'd like to introduce you to our newest member:

Meet Bella!

Bella is a 7-year-old Westie originally from Seattle and the BEST addition to Susie's family. Bella adapted to PDX life quickly and has already become Queen of the Dog Park. She loves to strut through Colonial Heights and has become a fixture at the Windermere office by Susie's side. Bella looks forward to sniffing you!

In this month's newsletter we spotlight the Share the Warmth Coat & Blanket Drive to help gather warming items for our community, Jamie gives her real estate forecast and we celebrate some recent clients including a few first-time homeowners!

Windermereā€™s Share the Warmth donation drive began in 2002 to collect warm winter items like coats and blankets for those in need. 19 years later it remains a cornerstone of this season of gratitude and giving. Everyone is invited to participate by donating new or gently used adult-sized coats and twin-sized blankets.

Our in-person Share the Warmth Coat & Blanket drive begins on November 8 and we currently have a bin at our Lloyd Tower front desk ready to be filled!

Share the Warmth
Here's what Jamie thinks the PDX Real Estate Market has in store for November:

As 2021 draws to a close, we can look back at a sizzling year of real estate and we have many indicators telling us this will continue.

According to the Regional Multiple Listing Service (RMLS), tight inventory is hanging on at just 1.1 months (3-6 months of inventory makes for a more balanced market.) New construction is struggling to keep up with the demand for new housing. Windermereā€™s Chief Economist, Matthew Gardner, suggests interest rates are beginning to rise, but will stay below 3.81% through the end of 2022. All of this suggests the market will remain in favor of the seller for some time to come!

The good news for buyers? Fall is a historically slower time of year in real estate, which means our team has lots of time to hunt for the perfect home for you! While many homes are selling for over asking price, we are also finding great deals for our clients on houses that are going under the radar.
