PAWS for the Latest
December 2016 News & Events from Centre County PAWS

Seasons Greetings, <<First Name>>!

Cold noses, warm wishesAs we approach the end of 2016, Centre County PAWS would like to thank YOU for helping all of the cats and dogs surrendered to PAWS this year. No matter how they come to PAWS, once they arrive here, they are safe. They are fed, sheltered and loved by volunteers and staff. Your generosity makes that possible. Your donations allow us provide medical care, spay/neuters, food, vaccinations, dental work and more. By supporting PAWS, you’re giving our animals a chance to find love, companionship and a happy ending when they find their forever home. Almost 1,000 animals had that chance this year!

Please open your hearts and consider making a year-end gift to PAWS. Your caring and compassion makes the world a better place for shelter animals.

Stocker Subaru's
Share the Love Campaign

PAWS and Stocker Subaru invite you to "Share the Love" with us again this holiday season to celebrate the joy animals bring to our lives and to help those cats and dogs still patiently waiting to find their special forever families.

For every new Subaru that Stocker sells or leases during November 21, 2016 to January 3, 2017, Stocker will donate $250 per vehicle to PAWS if the purchaser selects us from the list of charities (PAWS is the only local charity)!

Thank you, Stocker Subaru!

Nittany

Nittany

PAWS' alum Nittany checked in with a wonderful report! He's happy that on these chilly nights he has a warm home to sleep in, which was not the case before he came to PAWS.

"My name is Nittany and I’m a Beagle mix that was adopted at your facility by a wonderful family in February. I’m really enjoying my new home, car rides with my family and the many kisses they give me on my forehead. They tell me every day that I’m perfect even though I have a few scars. I just celebrated my 8th birthday. I’m so happy I don’t have to be chained outside anymore and now have a real home where I feel warm and safe. Thank you for rescuing me until I found my perfect family."

Bowie, adopted from PAWS

Ruby

"One year ago, Ruby had her "foster" stocking for Christmas that we were going to send with her and her forever home for Christmas. This year, here she sits, under our Christmas tree with the same stocking except now she is part of our family!"

VOLUNTEER NEEDS

Holiday fosters still needed! PAWS tries very hard to get our animals into foster homes over the holiday season to give our volunteers and staff a break. To become a PAWS' holiday foster, please visit our fostering page on our website. You can also email our dog team and cat team with any questions you may have about fostering.

PAWSOME Kids

PAWSOME Kids!

The children and young people in our community are amazing. They hold donation drives for PAWS. Many donate their allowances to help our animals. Some kids have bake sales and lemonade stands, while others raise funds through a GoFundMe campaign. Many youngsters bring in treats, paper towels and toys for the cats and dogs. PAWS is so grateful to all children who want to make life better for a shelter cat or dog.

Thank you for your generosity and for your help.
