Greetings, <<First Name>>!
PAWS is so very thankful for our amazing volunteers, adopters, fosters, and donors every single day. Without you we would not be able to help all of the cats and dogs that we do each year.
Here are a few reasons we are extra thankful for all of your support:
- Our 11th Annual Fur Ball, held on October 29th, was a huge success! Your support of our event helped raise more than $40,000 for the cats and dogs of PAWS. Proceeds from the Fur Ball provide food, shelter and care needed to help almost 1,000 animals surrendered to PAWS each year.
- Ruffalo arrived at PAWS as a stray, anxious and fearful of strangers. Thanks to your donations, he’s received training through our Good Dog Fund and has made amazing progress in learning to trust others. He even loves being a lap dog!
- We are so thankful for our foster families! Our fosters help animals like Eevee have somewhere to grow and socialize while they wait for their forever home. Eevee is a playful youngster who was found as an orphan and the last of her litter to find a home. Learn more about Eevee.
- Our amazing volunteers deserve thanks every day! They are truly the heart and soul of PAWS and we couldn’t care for our animals without them.

with a feline this holiday season!
Thanks to generous donor, all cat and kitten adoption fees will be waived from November 21–December 21! PAWS has many delightful felines for any kind of home. November is Adopt a Senior Pet Month
If you’ve been thinking about adding a four-legged-friend to your family, consider opening your home and your heart to an older dog or cat in need!
While small kittens and puppies may be adorable, older pets are just as loving and loyal as their younger counterparts. Not to mention, adopting a senior animal companion comes with some cool advantages: Grown-up pets don’t require the constant monitoring and training that puppies and kittens do, and many are already house trained. Also, since senior pets are fully grown, you’ll be immediately aware of important information like personality type and grooming requirements, making it easier to choose the perfect pet for your family.
Check out our available cats and dogs. Our senior animals are just waiting to show you that you're never to old to love or be loved.

Ollie & Koda
(Marco & June)
Happy ending for two PAWS' alums--Ollie (known as Marco when adopted in September 2014) and gorgeous-eyed Koda (the smaller dog, known as June at PAWS this year)!
"Koda is adjusting very well to the new home! She's awesome in the crate, but hasn't caught onto the whole house training thing yet. She's growing very quickly! She loves to go on walks, hiking, and wrestling with Ollie. They are the best of friends!
Koda got to check out her first tailgate two weeks ago and loved it! She also visited Mount Nittany that weekend and hiked 3 miles without any help. She loves to try and keep up with her big brother! She also likes to lay in flower beds, even though she's not supposed to. "

Jazzy
"Many of you will remember this beautiful little lady from her years of time with PAWS. It's hard to believe Jazzy picked us as her furever family 6 months ago. The time has flown by and she has made such great strides. Her personality has blossomed, her energy is infectious, and her antics keep us all amused (including her fur brother and sisters). Thanks to all who trusted and prepared us for success with this sweet baby who has totally stolen our hearts."

VOLUNTEER NEEDS
We are currently looking for a volunteer to join our publicity committee to help with preparing this monthly newsletter! The perfect person will be familiar with using MailChimp and know how to write and edit content. Additional familiarity with HTML and website content management systems would be a bonus but not necessary.

PAWSOME Kids!
Thank you to Evelyn for the generous donation that she delivered a donation to PAWS last week! She had a birthday party and instead of asking for gifts, she asked that her friends bring donations for PAWS.
If your child has a birthday coming up, check out our birthday parties at PAWS!

Thank you to Erin and Madigan (and mom!) for holding a lemonade stand and donating the proceeds to PAWS! They are seen here posing with Merlin, a PAWS kitten, but at home they have an adopted PAWS dog named Greta!

Wishlist
This month PAWS is in need of the following items:
- Paper towels
- Solar lights - We have two play areas which our dogs love and the volunteers love, but in the winter, light becomes an issue. A couple of these were attached to some fencing and really do help. We'd love some more to help keep the areas well lit!
Are you a regular Amazon.com shopper? If so, use our AmazonSmile link and Amazon will donate money to PAWS!
We also have our Amazon.com Wishlist that we regularly update with much needed items. Check it out!
