World Spay Day
Unaltered cats cause a racket!
Did you know that February 28th is World Spay Day? This day draws attention to the importance of spay/neuter as a proven means of saving the lives of companion animals and community (feral and stray) cats.
|
|
Spaying or neutering animals helps prevent unruly behavior. Meowing incessantly, messy heat cycles, pacing, marking, spraying, roaming to find a mate - these are characteristics of cats and dogs who haven't been altered. Having your pet spayed or neutered will prevent these behaviors.

PAWS will be hosting a low cost spay/neuter clinic for cats and dogs:
Tuesday March 21st
Allegheny Welfare Council,
2451 General Potter Highway, Centre Hall PA 16828.
For more information and to register for the clinic, please visit our Spay and Neuter Clinic page
If you cannot make this clinic, we also offer a spay/neuter voucher program. Any questions about the clinic or voucher program can be directed to our Spay/Neuter team at (814) 237-8722, line 5 or email us here.

Albany
"Albany is doing great! She has definitely adjusted well and has taken over the place :). She is playful and energetic but also likes to cuddle at night. Her favorite place in the whole apartment is wherever the people are. She is such a pretty, well-mannered, wonderful pet."

|
Frannie
"Frannie wanted to stop by and say hello as her one year adoptiversary was on February 3. She's a real sweetheart who loves spending her days cat-napping in the sun. She's my favorite cat (don't tell the others)...and I'm so glad we found each other!"

PAWS salutes all the young people in our community who help our animals. Chloe, Lorna, and Ava were generous enough to donate $211 from a birthday party, as well as dog food, treats and toys. Thank you ladies!
