PAWS For The Latest

April 2017 News & Events From Centre County PAWS

Centre Gives!

We are excited to be participating in Centre Gives again this year! Centre Gives is a 36-hour online fundraising event hosted by Centre Foundation. This year's event will begin at 8 a.m. Tuesday, May 9 and end at 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 10. When you donate during Centre Gives, your money goes even further and stays in our local community!

Your donations during this event will go towards helping us save the lives of cats and dogs in our community like Fargo. Fargo, a 6 year old Sheltie, came to us with severe skin issues and was surrendered so he could get the proper care he needs. With medicated baths and antibiotics provided by PAWS, Fargo will look as good as new and move on to a loving home where he can continue to eat all the peanut butter treats he loves!

We can't do it without you! To keep up with our progress during Centre Gives or to donate during the event, please visit our organization's page on the Centre Gives website.

Pumpkin

Pumpkin (who was known as Casey at PAWS) loves this time of year. Wednesday was her birthday and she is coming up on her adopt-aversary day!

Her mom checked in to say, "I just wanted to let everyone know that she is doing fantastic and is a very happy kitty!"

Pebbles

"She is good. We love her so much. She is adjusting well to her new home. She loves attention and to cuddle. She tries to hog the bed. She loves to play with her doggie cousins. She also likes to go to the dog park where she can run free."

PAWsome Students!

We would like to thank the Penn State fraternities and sororities who've held "Pet A Pooch" fundraisers for PAWS this year. Their collective efforts resulted in $10,500 raised to help our cats and dogs. Thank you students for your support!

PAWS Board Elections

Reminder! Elections for the PAWS Board of Directors will be held at the annual meeting on May 23, 2017. The 5 nominees for 5 positions are:

Kris Clark, Joan Ritchie, Laurie Knisely, Bob Conn, and Monica Wright
