Family Violence MARAM Practice Notes Update during COVID-19
Family Violence MARAM Practice Notes Update during COVID-19 Family Safety Victoria have developed MARAM Practice Notes to outline the heightened and additional risk factors for victim survivors and perpetrators during COVID-19. These MARAM Practice Notes are available on the MARAM resources website.

Family Safety Victoria have also produced a video to guide practitioners on the content of these Practice Notes, with a particular focus on MARAM risk factors in the context of COVID-19, best practice response for specialist practitioners and the importance of collaborative practice.
safe steps New Live Webchat Service
safe steps are a specialist family violence crisis response phoneline and email service available 24/7 every day of the year. safe steps understands people experiencing domestic of family violence may be unable to safely call for support. The web chat service is providing secure, specialist support and information to victim-survivors and concerned family and friends from 9am – 9pm Monday to Friday. Chats are anonymous and available to anyone experiencing or afraid of family violence regardless of age, sexuality or gender identity.

Evaluation Capacity Health Check
HealthWest Partnership, the PCP in Melbourne's west, have published an Evaluation Capacity Health Check (ECHC): to enable organisations, or subsets within it (specific teams/departments) that are responsible for primary prevention activity, to assess their current evaluation capacity. Undertaking an ECHC will assist your organisation to assess needs and opportunities to strengthen evaluation capacity within your workplace.
University of Canberra Survey: LGBTQI+ Wellbeing and Stigma Survey 2020
A major national research survey into possible psychological impacts of negative messaging in the debate about the federal government’s religious discrimination legislative plans, and how COVID-19 has affected LGBTQI+ communities. Participants who complete this survey are asked to 'opt in' to a longitudinal study which will include at least one further survey which will seek to understand the change in their level of psychological distress caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and changes in the Australian Government's religious discrimination legislative program.
Australian Government Draft Indigenous Evaluation Strategy
Despite decades of policies and programs aimed at improving the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, too little is known about their impact. The evaluation has often been an afterthought or not done at all. The Productivity Commission draft strategy provides principles-based guidance for planning, conducting and using evaluations of policies and programs affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. You are invited to examine the draft Strategy and to make written submissions by Monday 3 August 2020
Victorian LGBTIQ Strategy Consultation
The Victorian Government has committed to develop a long term, whole of government LGBTIQ strategy. They are designing this strategy with an understanding of the views of LGBTIQ Victorians and the broader Victorian community. To help achieve this, a discussion paper has been developed to capture the input and voices of LGBTIQ Victorians and allies. We encourage you to complete the survey, and/or provide a written submission with your views. Written submissions from individuals or organisations can be provided to Survey responses and written submissions will be accepted until 3 August 2020.
