EUD Board meeting in Athens, Greece

The European Union of the Deaf (EUD) is set to hold its first board meeting of 2023, taking place in Athens, Greece from the 17th to the 19th of March. The meeting marks a significant occasion for the organisation, providing an opportunity to review the report from the previous year and to discuss the work program for the year ahead. Members of the board will be able to discuss further the upcoming General Assembly in 2023, set to take place in Stockholm, Sweden.

Hybrid Seminar

Background: The United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) is an international human rights treaty that sets out the rights of persons with disabilities. It was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 2006 and has since been ratified by 182 countries, including all EU member states. The CRPD provides a framework for countries to ensure that persons with disabilities can fully enjoy their human rights and participate in all aspects of life on an equal basis with others.

Webinar Objective: The objective of this webinar is to provide national perspectives on the implementation of the CRPD in Greece, France, Norway, UK, and Belgium. The webinar will highlight the achievements and challenges of each country in promoting and protecting the rights of persons with disabilities.

This is a hybrid seminar, and EUD Full Members would need to register to attend and get access to the Q&A session. We encourage all interested parties to join us for this important discussion on promoting and protecting the rights of persons with disabilities.
