Newspaper business articles How to use it for your job search: Whenever you see a business article that interests you, stop and read it. Look for names of specific companies and save those names. Look for anything positive about jobs or the industry that the article is talking about. If it interests you, take the next step to do some research about the industry or companies listed in the article. If people’s names are mentioned, look them up on social media.
Example: We saw an article about coffee in the Mississauga/Brampton Business Times, and since that’s a favourite topic for many of us, we decided to stop and read about it here on page 9. The article mentioned a few company names (and contact people) located in Peel Halton so we decided to do some research. We looked at the Mother Parker’s careers page and easily found 8 job postings (February 3, 2014).
