Global and local food assessment:
a multidimensional performance-based approach

Montpellier Expert Meeting

GLAMUR Experts met on the 4th of June in Montpellier for their third gathering with the project partners. The meeting had many aims: to discuss the comparative analysis draft report; to identify main messages of the project and to foresee societal and scientific impact of the project. A deep discussion took place among experts and project partners enabling the improvement of the project trajectory. Proceedings of the expert meeting are available here.

Comparative report based on National Case Studies

At the Montpellier meeting, GLAMUR partners discussed how to combine the national food chain case studies into the comparative report. The use of the grounded theory combined with a nested approach has been proposed to integrate the project case studies. The comparative report will soon be available on the GLAMUR website.
GLAMUR Stakeholder workshops aims at obtaining feedbacks on the local/global conceptual discussion, the perceived relevance of attributes and indicators used in GLAMUR, the policy implications of perceived performance of food chains. Results will be available in November 2015.

Contribute to GLAMUR with the online questionnaire

The stakeholders opinions regarding the project outcomes are more than welcomed. A questionnaire including a set of policy questions will be soon online with the aim of gathering respondents’ views about the power of different actors and the impact of norms and rules in the operation of food supply chain at local, national and European level. Barcellona meeting

GLAMUR partners will meet next in Barcellona in November 2015 to further discuss the main messages of the project. Looking forward to it!

Glamur at EXPO
Milan 13 october 2015

The Milan EXPO “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life” is the major annual global event on food & agriculture. GLAMUR has organized a conference in the European Union Pavilion to discuss the multidimensional performance assessment for global and local food value chains. The Expo event will be webcasted targeting a global audience and will, in parallel, address to the EXPO visitors. The programme is available here. Registration at the event is strongly advised. Thanks to the European Commission support, Expo entrance tickets are available once registered. A final buffet will offer networking opportunities.
