a multidimensional performance-based approach

Belgrade Expert Meeting

Experts gathered last month in Belgrade for their second meeting with Glamur partners. Experts, who previously reviewed Glamur methodology and reached outputs, took part in working groups to put forward their analysis and recommendations on the project pursuing. Read the expert minutes.

National Case Studies

At the Belgrade meeting, Glamur partners exposed the early findings of their national food chain performance case study (bread, wine, pork meat, cheese, tomato, asparagus, apple, raspberry, blueberry, wine). A poster session took place in Belgrade to illustrate the provisional findings. A milk pilot case study and a scientific publication are ready to be read through, to grasp an idea about the case studies’ structure and nature.

Case Studies Comparative Analysis to come

Drawing on the national case studies, Glamur will in the coming months compare and contrast the economic, environmental, health, social and ethical impact of the identified typologies of food chains, and will discuss the conditions of validity of comparison. 

Glamur Periodic Report to EC

At project midterm, Glamur handed out its Periodic Report to the Research and Innovation DG. The feedback received, acknowledged that the project is “on track” and the tasks & deliverables proposed in the first 18 months have been achieved.

An European research team carries out a multidisciplinary project. Eleven countries host 15 research partners in the GLAMUR Consortium.

Call for proposal

GLAMUR is seeking for proposals for a ca. 5 minute animation describing the GLAMUR key features. The cartoon will explore the food performance question at a global/local level on the five GLAMUR analysis dimensions (social, economic, health, ethic, environmental).

GLAMUR is an EU funded research project investigating the local/global perceptions and representations of food chains. A number of research instruments were chosen to examine the relative efficiencies and efficacies of food chains against various dimensions and factors.
