East Gippsland Ice Prevention Community Workshop 2 - Time for Change
Wednesday 8 March | 4pm-6pm | Bruthen Mechanic's Hall
In this second community workshop, community members and health and community service professionals will be working together to discuss the causes of drug use, and what they can do to prevent it. 
 
Plank Out 4 Ten Challenge - Deadly Sport Gippsland
At last week's East Gippsland Health Promotion Reference Group, Brenton from GippSport commenced the Plank Out 4 Ten Challenge... and we all joined in!

The #PlankOut4Ten challenge aims to raise awareness of the gap in health and life expectancy between Aboriginal Australians and non-Aboriginal Australians. For more information, visit www.deadlysport.com.au/plankout4ten

Grants of up to $250,000 are available. 
2 workshops are available to potential applicants: Preventing Harm from Gambling Unconference on 20 February, and the Innovation in Service Design Workshop on 22 February.

This collection of resources from VicHealth will help you to progress on updating your organisation's policies. 

Victorian HIV and hepatitis integrated training and learning program
The Department has refreshed its HIV and viral hepatitis training program for general practitioners in Victoria.

Training for fitness providers - falls prevention for older people
This Monash University online course is aimed at fitness or health professionals who work with older adults at risk of falls. Registrations close on 22 February - only 80 spots available at the reduced rate of $50.

Alzheimer's Australia training courses
An extensive range of training options are being offered. Many packages are available online or in the workplace.
