A Time for Reflection and Celebration!
2014 brought powerful challenges and changes to the nation and our work at the Insight Center.
During the past year, we saw remarkable signs of hope. A growing number of cities adopted living and minimum wage increases. Dreamers and other immigrant groups have just secured needed presidential support to remain robust contributors to our society and economy.
At the same time, we witnessed disturbing trends in racial wealth and income disparities, public disinvestment in safety net programs and supports, and police-community relations—all of which make our work that much more necessary and timely. We are grateful for the opportunity to engage in some of our times’ most important debates and social investment trends.
And we are most grateful to our board members, our national advisors, our funding and program partners, and our allies across the nation for their enduring support throughout this productive year of organizational transition and recalibration at the Insight Center. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your continuing friendship and vote of confidence. Here’s wishing you and yours the very best for the coming season and New Year!
