NEWS
IC-IMPACTS Funds New Water Project

A new Integrated Water Management project led by Dr. Ramin Farnood (University of Toronto), has successfully been awarded funding.  Dr. Farnood is working to develop a high-rate compact water system using micro-filtration membranes in an effort to reduce the presence of pathogenic organisms, commonly found in water sources of small communities.

IC-IMPACTS Funds New Infrastructure Project

A new Safe & Sustainable Infrastructure project led by Dr. Daman K. Panesar (University of Toronto), has also been successfully awarded funding.  Dr. Panesar is performing an in-depth study on the industrial use of fly-ash.  Fly-ash is a waste material generated from coal-fired power plants that can be reused and recycled into cement.  Much of the fly-ash produced is disposed in water sources and landfills.  This project will help alleviate pollution and allow companies to create new products by reusing waste materials.

MOU Signed with CINS

IC-IMPACTS and the Canada India Network Society (CINS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), strengthening the relationships between both organizations.
IC-IMPACTS and CINS are working together to explore collaborations in the field of Public Health and Disease Prevention, potentially hosting relevant workshops, seminars, and conferences together.
